Why a ring, not a spotlight
A spotlight throws one beam at the tree and leaves the trunk in shadow. The ring sits at the base and lights the bark from every side at once, so the whole tree reads as a shape after dark instead of a bright patch on the lawn. Nothing glares back at the house, and the fixture itself disappears into the planting.

Fitting it
The standard ring measures 15.35 in across the inside, which suits trunks up to roughly 14 in. Drop the connecting blocks and the ring opens to 18.11 in for trunks near 17 in. One ring wraps one tree; if your trees are close together, take the set that matches the count rather than trying to stretch one ring between two.
Built to stay outside
Sealed aluminium housings, glass lenses and waterproof connectors, rated IP65. The driver lives at the outlet, not at the tree, so the low-voltage run along the ground stays cool and safe. Rain, sprinklers and hose-down are all fine.
